My obsession is your gain (a giveaway)

by statia on August 25, 2010

I have a bit of a problem.   I love to buy baby clothes.   I had TONS of clothes for the Mini when he was born, and throughout babyhood.  Half of them still had the tags on them.   When LG was born, the girl selection was naturally, so much better.  I gave some away, but I still have tons of stuff from both of them.   A lot of it was either worn once, or not at all.   So I figured, I’d start doing some giveaways of clothes.   I’d rather they went to a good home, and all of my friends have kids that are the same age or a little older, so I can’t pass them along to them.

And because I have a sickness (see above RE: love to buy baby clothes), I’ll give away some new clothes from time to time.  I’m not entirely ready to give up buying itty bitty cute little stuff, even though my uterus has been condemned.

Cleaning out LG’s closet, I found a few outfits and a pair of pants that I think she wore once.  And one outfit, she never really fit into (and of course, you can click to make bigger.  Mind my pillow):

From L to R:  Pink Izod corduroy pants set with embroidered dogs in size 12 months, Old Navy Gingham dress, size 18 months, stripey capris (also Old Navy) and a shirt from target that I bought that unintentionally matched the pants and SCORE!  Another outfit that she wore once, both the pants and shirt are 18 mos.  And a pair of cute flower pants, from guess where?  OLD NAVY, size 18 months.   Guess where I spend a lot of my time?

Seriously.  Are these not the cutest thing ever?   And look at the matching shirt!

I’m sad that she never fit into this.

And of course, what girl doesn’t look adorable in gingham?  SQUEEEEE!

Worn twice, you guys.  Seriously.

And, the accidental outfit:

And last but not least, the flower power pants.   She never had a chance to wear these either.

So that’s it.   If you have a baby girl who would fit these sizes, or will fit these sizes during the appropriate season, simply leave a comment, and tell me your favorite brand of baby clothes.   One entry per person.  That whole multiple entries thing is too much math for my brain to handle.   I’ll pick a winner next week sometime.

My daughter doesn’t have her baby yet. They are adopting and if all goes well she will be born at the end of September and they will adopt her (private adoption). So too soon for her, but really cute clothes and very nice of you to give them away.

I have two boys, but I have a new neice and the girl stuff is so cute! I’m also partial to Old Navy, since my kids are able to destroy stuff before they outgrow it, and the price is right!

Aitch has that gingham dress!

That’s all I had to say. I’m tired.

Thanks a lot Statia – not only do I NOT have a wee little baby to hold in my arms anymore and have NEVER have I had a wee little female to dress in pink gingham but NOW I have an uncontrollable desire to go shopping for wee little pink clothes….

Rock on – I promised myself yesterday that I was gonna embrace my crazy. :)

Though I do have a little one that might be able to benefit from them, the seasons might be off. So if someone else can use them in a more timely fashion, feel free to skip over me.

My little one will turn 1 mid-April. She’s kinda tiny for her age so I won’t be buying stuff that is bigger for her much (unless it’s one of those outfits that have the insanely small head holes that require a bigger size JUST for that).

In other words, I might be able to use them but only the tail end or beginning of seasons.

Well, I’m pregnant and I am probably having a girl! I don’t know about girl clothing brands. I know for Ari I like Garanimals.

I love Carters for the wee-ones. Now that my son is a toddler it is Old Navy.

Old Navy…I can’t tell you how much Old Navy kids stuff we own. That store is like crack for parents.
