Pregnancy sucks. Part the second.

by statia on December 31, 2008

Mother Nature, or whoever is responsible for the mechanics of pregnancy, is a right whore.

Why is it that your hip joints need to start softening, at 20 WEEKS (or earlier), thus causing you excruciating pain at night, because the only way you’re allowed to sleep is on your side?

Pregnancy still needs a major overhaul.

It makes it easier to have sex!

Cuz I’m sure that’s EXACTLY what’s on your mind.

A.Men. I’m so sick of sleeping on my side. But, you know, it’s even better once you’re so uncomfortable that even turning over in bed to get to the other side is a chore. Wowza.

Ugh, I remember the hip pain, doubly bad because I could only sleep on one side due to the lopsided ute. My OB told me I could sleep on my back as long as I propped up my right hip with a pillow–maybe that would work? (They basically tilted me like that when I was strapped down for the C-section, so I have to assume it’s medically sound.)
