Link Whoring.

Rarely do I do a link whoring on here (and maybe I should do it more often, because it feels so good), but there’s two things that are on the horizon that are important to me.

1. It’s that time of the year again for the annual Boobiethon.  The Boobiethon started back in 2002 (can you believe that it’s in its SEVENTH year?, good GOD I’m geriatric in blogging years) by Robyn, in order to get yours truly to Florida.  It snowballed and turned into the fantastic event it is today.  The Boobiethon has raised over $40,000 for breast cancer reasearch in the last 7 years.   That’s a lot of money!  This is Mel’s second year taking care of the event.  She did an awesome job last year.  And I’d love to see her beat last years total.

2. I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been writing nearly full time over at SafeMama.  I love what I do, and if it only helps one person, I’ll sleep better knowing that.   The natural progression of things was to also do a spinoff site for Moms (and Dads too) regarding more eco friendly and healthier beauty prodcts.  I don’t even want to know how much money Kathy and I have spent on testing greener beauty products in the last year.   After a summer of repeatedly putting this project on the back burner for one reason or another, we’ve finally launched LovelyMama.   It’s still a little light on content, but expect to see A LOT more in the near future to help you ditch the nasty chemically laden shampoo that you’re slathering all over your hair.  And if that doesn’t interest you enough, can I entice you with giveaways and coupons?

You know what’s gonna happen… one of these days you’re going to try and tell someone that you’re the original reason for the Boobie-Thon, and they’ll look at you like some crazy old coot. (“Check out grandma. She thinks someone wanted to see her boobies once. Ewwwwwww.”)

Have a nice day. Coot.

No way. It can’t already be 7 years. That would mean I’m old.
