This space for rent

by statia on November 28, 2007

It occurred to me that I have this blog here, one that I pay for and all of that, and I haven’t written anything here in like, a week or something. It’d been long enough, that my MT account had gone ahead and logged me out and when I came back, was like “who are you?”

Life has been busy. Over the weekend, we went to the city to hit the Reading Terminal Market and also to get some hot chocolate at the Ritz Carlton. As well as finish up most of the lingering projects we’ve had on our list of stuff to get done around the house. I’ve also started working again. Part time, from home (and I don’t even have to breathe heavily into the phone and tell some guy, who was probably a chick at one time, that he’s the hottest thing I’ve ever seen, and why yes, I would love to bend over a virtual chair for you), which will keep me even busier than I already am.

The Mini is also keeping me on my toes with his constant mobility. I don’t know what happened to the baby that was content to chill on the floor with some toys for hours on end, but he left town and now I spend my days getting raging cases of swamp ass because it takes me 25 minutes to change a diaper. I feel like we’re something out of a cartoon. I’m expecting the rest of that pregnancy weight to come off any time now.

Oh isn’t mommy + workerbee the most fun combonation ever!?! You have so much more free/personal time than ever before!!!

I want that mobility for but none of the stuff that it brings with it. We really need to sell our house and buy one with a play space for her … that isn’t the 4 sq ft of space between the coffee table (with scary hard pointy corners) and the TV.

Ugh. Diapers. SO GLAD that shit is over with. (Pardon the irony.)

So, what kind of dial-up line do you work for then? :)

You could always harness Mini to a chair, you know.

I hear you on the diapers. Finn screams blood murder and writhes to get away from the child abuse that he seems to think is having his diaper changed. If it’s just pee, I’ll usually let him stand up holding on the crib rails and just change him like that. At least then the crib is good for something.

I’m so jealous of your Ritz Carlton hot chocolate sommelier. But I guess it’s a fair trade off, since you also have dirty diapers :)

Welcome to my daily exhaustion. *slides the mandatory supply of Red Bull your way* I cannot believe how fast his first year is flying by!
