Not cold, just have to piss.

by statia on August 17, 2007

Me last weekend on our way out the from Buzz and Pat’s: *shivers*

Buzz: What are you cold, or did you just get a piss shiver?
Me: The fuck?

See, whenever I get that weird chill, I call it just that, a chill. When it first happened in front of the Meester, he was like, “pee shiver?” And again, I was all what the fuck? And ever since, it’s been a cause for a spat (but not really a spat, more like, you say tomayto, I say tomahto sort of thing). See, when I get a CHILL, it’s not all in my nether regions like I have to piss. No, it’s in my neck and back, so why the hell are people calling it a PEE SHIVER? When Buzz said piss shiver, I thought maybe the two of them and their weird torrid email affair had gone too far. They were rubbing off on each other. Heh.

So really, what the fuck is up with the whole pee shiver thing? It’s a god damned CHILL.

It must be a guy thing. When I get a chill, I’m like you…its just that. But almost every time G goes to the bathroom, he shivers – thus, a pee shiver.

Haven’t you ever had to pee so bad that after you go you shiver a little? Piss shiver! It’s kinda like that feeling of AAAAHHHHHHH!

Stephanie August 17, 2007 at 8:38 pm

O-my-FUCK – there’s a word for everything!

Jenn August 17, 2007 at 8:42 pm

I have never heard of a pee shiver.

Ginadapooh August 17, 2007 at 10:40 pm

This has to be a guy thing…never heard of such a thing.

Lisa August 18, 2007 at 5:48 am

I’ve never heard it called that either. Sometimes I just get a chill… just like you. Nothing to do with peeing.

Solonor August 18, 2007 at 6:20 am

Never heard it called that. Usually, it’s “someone just walked on your grave.”

buzz August 18, 2007 at 6:50 am

Don’t even make me tell you about “shit shivers”!

*shivers*

From Wikipedia

Just sayin’…

suzie August 18, 2007 at 9:19 am

we always called that a “goose walking on your grave”. this freaks out tim to no end. he’s always “really? why a goose? and what?”

i’ll throw piss shiver at him next time, and he’ll probably pass out.

geeky August 18, 2007 at 9:36 am

Pee shiver? I had no idea. But I think Empress just proved that Wikipedia DOES know everything.

Deltus August 18, 2007 at 1:15 pm

I’ve never heard of piss shiver before. When I go and I had to go real bad, I go AAHHH and feel a huge sigh of relief, but I don’t shiver.

I’m with you on this. It’s called a chill.

Okay, now I laughed out loud when I initially read this thinking, “What the..?” Then I had the husband read this and he informed me that the pee shiver was taught to them in grade school health class.
Seriously, why did the girls have to spend so much time on menstruation when there’s pee shivers to learn about?

Dooneybug August 18, 2007 at 6:42 pm

That’s a boy thing. You’ll eventually see it with the Mini too.

aithne August 19, 2007 at 12:20 pm

What?!! I am 45 and this is the first I ever heard of this!

waiting line August 19, 2007 at 1:32 pm

hmmprff. I’m in the WTF camp. :-)

Helen August 19, 2007 at 2:35 pm

Now that is weird, because I’d never come across that either, but our little girl – 16 months, often “shivers” when tiddling. In fact, it’s a “uh oh…” sign for us when she hasn’t got her nappy on… so maybe not just boys??

Jen(aside) August 20, 2007 at 9:05 am

This absolutely is not just a guy thing.

I get pee shivers. I know lots of girls that get pee shivers.

Jen-Again August 20, 2007 at 2:57 pm

I’m with Jen(aside)- I get the pee shivers too. When I have to go really bad, once I finish- good shivers.

pamela August 20, 2007 at 9:57 pm

shiver me timbers!
