Hey guess what? It’s father’s day.

See, I thought it was last week, until a friend told me that I was a week early. And I did all of that “last minute running around” for nothing. I still had time to slack.

The Meester picked out his own present last week anyway. For the better part of a year, he’s wanted the Macbook Pro with glossy screen. He kept debating on whether or not he wanted to spend that much money on himself as he finds that he isn’t as deserving as I think he is.

And he is indeed very deserving. For we live in a nice house and are able to afford to have me stay at home with our son, because he works hard, commutes far, and still comes home to make dinner and help put the Mini to bed at night. And he will, on top of that, get up to feed him at 5 ay em. I honestly can say, I pretty much get whatever I want, if I ask for it, and he asks for nothing in return. I lack for nothing because of him. I hope you have a good father’s day baby.

He asked to go shopping for Father’s day. The grocery store, Costco, Target (yes, AGAIN), and Ikea. Because this whole moving in thing is taking forever.

Yesterday, we took the Mini to the aquarium, mainly to get out of the house and take a break from all things “homo-ner”. I really didn’t think that the Mini would be old enough to really enjoy the aquarium yet, but he really loved it. We plopped him in his baby bjorn and let him take in the serenity of underwater life. He was so alert and loved watching the fish go by. He was passed out by the time we hit the shark tank, which kind of sucks, but I guess all of that learning really wears a three month old out. He passed out at 8pm and had to be woken up to eat at 5, and then passed out until 8.

Maybe we should go to the aquarium every day.

I really had to LOL when you said that Father’s Day was last week. A week ago today, I was sitting in the hotel bar (b’cuz that was the only place open that served food on Sunday) when some dude asked when Father’s Day was. Another guy said, “It’s today.” All of the guys in the bar were in a mad frenzy for at least 30 minutes until someone learned that it wasn’t until today.

Happy Dad’s Day to the Meester!

(I’ll go read the rest of the post now because I only made it past the 2nd paragraph.)

A toast to your Meester on his first Father’s Day!

Maybe get a year pass to the aquarium for you and the Mini-Meester? If he really digs being there it could be worth every penny. :-)

Time goes so quickly – last time I was in an aquarium I was with y’all and I had the new baby. Now mine just turned two and here you are… :-) Glad he had a nice first Father’s Day, glossy ‘n’ all.

When my oldest was about six months old, he was absolutely fascinated with the penguins at the zoo – they would swim right up to him/by him at the underwater windows to the big penguin pool. Very cool.
