Aside of my regular issues

by statia on January 7, 2007

I’m having issues with my monitor and photoshop. Specifically, all of my pictures look washed out when I open them in photoshop. I thought this might be the monitor at first, but all of my pictures look true to color when they’re not opened in photoshop. I’ve tried resetting the color settings 17 ways from Sunday, but no luck. Anyone out there that might have any suggestions or ideas? It’s driving me insane.

I had a problem with my photos looking washed out on Flickr compared to what I was seeing in Photoshop. The solution was to set the color space in Photoshop to sRGB. The newer versions of Photoshop default to Adobe RGB which displays more colors, but really only works in Photoshop and print.

Oh, and if sRGB doesn’t work, you should be able to set your Photoshop colorspace to the same colorspace as your monitor.

Check control panel for adobe gama and run the wizard inside – it may help – hubby just had the same problem. Also may want to check that monitor drivers are up-to-date…oops you said it was not the monitor
