Where I trade in my Aqualung CD for Kenny Loggins

by statia on November 24, 2006

Today we traded in the Meester’s 350Z for a more practical Audi quattro All road “sport utility wagon.” This was entirely of his doing, seeing as how pregnancy not only affects a woman’s brain, but also a mans, he was getting entirely too many speeding tickets lately. Dudes, we own a station wagon now. Seriously, we both feel so old.

Also, why is it that the car dealer is a time vacuum? Fastest car deal ever, and it still took us 3 hours to get out of there. I hate buying a car. It’s time you never get back.

It’s amazing how long the paperwork takes. Congrats on the Audi!

I’m very jealous of the 350z. Congrats on the new Audi!

Why didn’t you tell me he was getting rid of it? I would have driven out there to buy the thing… but first would have had to stop at several street corners along the way to pay for it. Yay for the Audi!

Yeah, I bought a station wagon too. A similarly cook and zippy VW but a station wagon nonetheless. Luckily I bought it at Carmax so the whole thing too two hours tops.

And by “cook” I, of course, mean “cool”.

heh heh. Statia has a station wagon. you should get together with my MOM and watch QVC.

Yup – we felt the same way when we bought our volvo wagon and we were going on and on about the safety features. Talk about old.

I’ve never ripped on station wagons or minivans, even pre-kid, because I haul so much crap around that I need the storage space.

Mmmmmmm…wide open storage space…

So you are the proud owners of a SUW? I’m thinking about an Audi A4 for my next car, how does it handle?

My pregnancy has mainly affected the hubby’s waistline. I can’t exercise hardly at all and I have bizarre cravings (usually for the calorically dense) and he joins right in. We also did the car switch thing though … GMC Jimmy (Blazer) for a Toyota 4Runner. Well we do live in CO … everyone here drives SUVs. Basically, the Jimmy was always in the shop. POS.

It may be a station wagon, but it’s an Audi Quattro. Nice and peppy.

I don’t even know you anymore…

Ooohhhhh, we love our allroad!!! It’s blazing fast (ours is chipped) and those heated leather seats sure make going to Tahoe a whole lot more pleasant. :)

Trust me. You’ll learn to love this car.

Did you get a manual tranny?
