That laptop’s been “flagged”

by statia on October 17, 2006

The perils of long term blogging and secrets revealed:

: I actually blogged
Pooper: it only took me 2 months to write something
me: yeah, i saw
me: my lip is still on the floor
Pooper: I feel too much pressure to be hilarious
Pooper: when I launch pixelsphinx
Pooper: I’m going to make it a dual blog/photoblog
Pooper: so I don’t have to blog every day and be charming and witty… I can cop out with a photo. I still want to stay active in the blog world I just need a better method
me: see
me: i don’t force it
me: if I don’t have something to say for a week, i don’t
Pooper: I do have stuff to say
Pooper: just stuff no one gives a shit about
Pooper: and when I go to type it, it doesnt sound as interesting as it did in my head
me: just do it when the mood strikes you
me: when you have “the flow”
me: that’s how I do it
me: i get “the flow” a lot, when I’m on the shitter
Pooper: you blog from the can don’t you
me: dude
me: you laugh, but some of my best entries, are from the shitter

Sorry, ma’am. We can’t accept this laptop back. It’s been in a bathroom.

Uh, hello, Dooce has made a career of blogging about her kid, pooping, and things “nobody cares about”. Obviously, we’re more easily entertained than her Sphinxness realizes.

My posts about poop get more comments than any other post.

Not sure what that says about me and my blog, but whatevah.

*cries* lol

Of course, not all of us take self-portraits while on the can…

For future reference, I think all bloggers should realize that they are technically writing about stuff that no one else should care about.

Also for future reference, all bloggers should realize that people actually DO care about it.

I’m not a blogger because I think I’m the biggest and bestest thing since sliced bread…I do it because I have stuff inside my head that wants to come out. I’m happy that other people like it/find it entertaining! Everything from the shit I took yesterday morning at the gym to the dog getting lost to my fights with my big sisters…people like reading it! I don’t know why, but why analyze it?

And I like reading what other bloggers have to say. Particularly the ones that can put it out there in a coherent, funny, relatable fashion. And while pooing, to boot! Good show, ladies…

It’s not really about whether anyone will care what I have to say. I’ve been blogging for many many many years. I think I more bore myself than anyone else… hence my lack of blogging enthusiasm.

Just to clarify. Heh.
