“It” might not be dead. (but who knows)

by statia on July 16, 2006

It’s been a whirlwind weekend up here in sunny Seattle. Our main agenda was to vist Grandma, who was both surprised and happy to see us. She’s doing better than we were told, but she’s still declining rapidly. Still, it needed to be done and the smile on her face said that we did the right thing. Our original plan was to visit her for a short while and get out to see friends and family for the rest of the weekend. Since she’s doing better than we thought, we’re visiting her every morning.

We’ve been constantly on the run and if “it” is still alive, the unspeakable exhaustion has kicked in and all I want to do is sleep, but because I’ve never been up here before, the meester is excited to show me his old stomping grounds and because I’m not the driver, he’s held me as his captive audience.

Last night we got to meet up with Kate and Piehole (and also Turdface, who I think she just totally uses for funny party tricks like smashing olives on his head). We went out for dinner, where I had to totally compose myself and not drink the rest of the goat cheese fondue out of the bowl. Also, I did not stab either of them with my fork for eating any of the cheese, as that wouldn’t have been very nice.

Conclusion: They are two very funny bitches and it’s very sad that we really don’t live closer.

Today was all family all the time. More Grandma, an all in-law brunch and then meeting up with my cousin and her husband for dinner. Also?

My mother called.

I’m tired.

Thinking good thoughts for you guys!

SO…you said she called…but did you actually talk to her? Because with my mom, we totally screen. There’s only so much of her I can take.

Grand”its” have a way of getting through to moms, though.

Yeah, did you talk to her? Do you think she got the news here? Thinking of you, girly!

Tired is good. NO DBTs.

Jesus Statia, you can’t come up with something more interesting to call “it” besides “it”?
