I’m not crazy, but I did get a good nights sleep at a holiday inn express once.

by statia on April 20, 2006

I broke down and made an appointment with my primary care to discuss getting my meds increased because I can’t stand having the voices in my head repeatedly tell me what a loser my uterus is. That and the drinking isn’t as socially acceptable at work as an SSRI. Which totally sucks, because did you know that Makers Mark went and made me an ambassador? That’s right, I’m an ambassador and I’m going to flaunt it like a total ambASSador should. It’s funny that they chose me because I don’t even like the stuff. I hope that Grey Goose gets wind of this and recruits me.

Shall I hunt down Herb and see if he has an “in” on the Grey Goose thing?

Sounds like it’s time for a trip up to Seattle….

Drinking at work isn’t socially acceptable? Since when? Maybe I really did have goin’ on when I worked for the wife of the maker of Sam Adams. Who knew?
I hope your doctor can help quell the voices.

An ambassador? So you’re going to be one of those super-hot chicks that hand out samples in the bars? AWESOME! ;-)

Unfortunately drinking and most SSRIs don’t mix very well. Dang, they’ll let just about anybody be an ambassador, won’t they?

Can’t drink at work? Hell. Girl, you need to get a dotcom job. Make that a start up. (Yeah, yeah, I know it’s a drop in pay, but you’ll be able to drink at work). Our VP (at a former job) used to put a case of beer on a rolling chair and walk down the cubicle aisles saying, “Beer?!! Beer?!! Hey, you there! Need a beer?” That rocked.

Dude, how AWESOME would it be if Grey Goose recruited you?

As for drinking on the job, have you ever tried vodka in a water bottle? Works like a charm, unless you’re required to walk beyond a 10 foot radius from your desk.

hahahahahaha… I’m an ambassador, too. I love me some Maker’s Mark though. :)

Damnit! Does this mean I have to put the cap back on the bottle of Absolut and throw it back in my desk drawer? Bummer.
