what’d my horoscope say about stress? Not to let it get to me?

by statia on February 21, 2006

Two people on my team just up and quit today. You know what that means? I got all of their work, because we all did the same thing. While this is great in opportunity, I’m now suddenly busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Which is going to make things for my upcoming IVF cycle really crazy. I also got my protocol calendar in the mail today. I’m so confused, I don’t know which end is up.

We got our new mack daddy bed today.

And suddenly I’m very very tired.

Sorry about all the extra work an all but “one legged man in an ass kicking contest”? Classic. Good luck…godspeed…and other crap like that.

That sucks about work.

I’m curious about the sleep number bed. You’ll have to give us a full review!

When we got our brand new bed it was a race home every day to see who would climb into it first. A mack daddy bed will make you very very sleepy indeed…

Boo Quitters for leaving you with all that work. Not nice!

Sorry can’t help with the protocol…

How was your first night of sleep? And what is your sleep number? ;)

The image of the one-legged man just cracks me up. I can’t stop laughing!

Sucky ex-co-workers. Bring that one-legged man over to their houses so that he can kick some sorry ass.

I’ve had a few people up and quit on me as well… and every single one (and I do mean every single one) has listed me as a reference on their next job application. If you have any pull with your manager or if you get a phone call asking for a reference for any of these people, just remember how miserable you are right now before you answer.

Two people quit at once. Does it make the bosses at your job say, “Hmmm, something might be wrong here.”?

Probably not.

And yes, give us a review of the super duper bed.

My personal review is that I dig the bed already. I started off at 25, but moved it up to 45 before going to sleep. I woke up rather refreshed and will probably see how it feels to go with a more firm number.

I started out at a pretty high number, but I’ve found that my back hurts less at 65 and I can sleep my comfortably on my side b/c my hip sinks in just enough.
