Look at cute dog pictures because I don’t have anything to say.

Another crapity entry. I’m getting sick. Do you know why I’m getting sick? Because I’m on vacation for 11 days starting on Friday. I’ve been pounding the zicam and airborne double time. Seriously karma, hasn’t this year been bad enough? Do you have to put the screws to me one more fucking time by giving me a cold? Can you at least leave my sense of taste so that I can enjoy my cookies and other holiday goodness?

Yes, that’s right you’re seeing correctly. My dog is wearing shoes. I figure if I have a barren uterus and I’m going to be the crazy dog lady, I better do it right. Watching a dog in shoes is some funny shit right, I can tell you that much. Next thing you know she’ll own a furcedes and all of her party dresses will be on dog hangers. RUN PEOPLE!! SAVE YOURSELVES!!! I’m losing my mind. Technically we succumbed to stupidy in the form of dog shoes because she wouldn’t go outside in the pouring rain to poop. Which I don’t know what’s stupider, the fact that we spent $42 on a pair (a set? two pairs?) of fucking dog shoes or the fact that we’re actually placating this dog to the point where we’re placating her aversion to little wet paws. At least it’s worth the laugh and for the love of good she finally pooped and not in the house.

Oh it was SO worth the laugh.

Also? Can someone please tell me what the hell possess people to let go of their dogs leash when they see that my dog who’s twice as small as their dog and is obviously scared shitless of your dog? I’m getting a hard lesson in little dogs all while raising my blood pressure. This woman let go of her terriers leash and let it RUN AFTER MY DOG. Who in turn, broke free of her leash and took off running and wouldn’t come near anyone. G-man was flipping out hearing Miss M. Yelp like she was being shoved into a wood chipper. After mild coronaries subsided in all of us, she came out unharmed, but jesus, I thought she was going to run to Arizona.

Have I really become this boring that all I have to talk about is my dogs?

Ahh… I love the smellof chihuahuas being shoved in the woodchipper in the morning… it smells like… victory.

I have dog boots for my dog. I laughed so hysterically the first time she wore them I nearly peed myself.

i have no desire to have children, but i do have a secret desire to have a dog i can put shoes on.

as for the dropping the leash thing… i’ve had to do that once or twice. but that’s because our dog is an 80 lb lab, and he has partially dislocated my shoulder before when he ran off after something while i was holding the leash. there’s no excuse for doing that with a terrier!

If nothing else, dog stories pass the time nicely. I love cute dog stories, considering I have 3 of my own. I’d love to dress up my chocolate lab baby, but my husband won’t have any of it. :( Cute shoes though. I’m sure my dog would just think they are toys since she is obsessed with socks.

I need to ask you about your dog and their vaccines. We had a terrible experience with our Cocker Spaniel having an allergic reaction to her shots yesterday…long story…I hear this is very common…what do you know about it?

Hey man, nothing says funny like a dog in shoes. Unless it’s a dog on roller skates. Maybe that’s next.

statia December 20, 2005 at 8:35 am

Um, Steff? I have a Chihuahua, not a cocker. And if your dog is suffering a reaction, take them to the vet. I’m not a vet.

Dogs in clothing is just wrong. Cute, but wrong.

I love in the first picture that it looks like she’s trying to shake the boot off her back left leg.

LOVE the shoes! I think you should get several pairs for her in different colors. You know, to match her mood and all…
