Brining up the rear

by statia on February 17, 2005

A long time ago, in land far far away, I worked for HP. I actually worked for a start up that was bought out by HP, who ended up scrapping our division and hanging most of us out to dry. But I digress. I remember Carly coming to visit us and giving some sort of “Hurrah, we love you little start up, and we’re gonna snuggle up on the couch with some hot chocolate and a warm blanket and love you forever. You’ll always be safe with us, little start up.” Or something like that. I just remember how much of a bitch I thought Carly was.

So now, living in the Bay area, you’d think that her getting shit canned would have been like, big news around here, even in like, heresay, rumor mill type shit. Yeah, she was fired, last week, and I just so happened to find out today, through the old start up’s group on yahoo. Really, do I have the worst case of ADD or what? The really funny thing is, as we were going through Palo Alto earlier this week, I sat there thinking to myself: “You know, I’m really surprised they’ve kept her as long as they have.”

Hahahaha. I’m so clueless. I don’t even turn the news on anymore, I’m lucky if I even catch the weather.

She probably had a golden parachute that would make a pirate blush. The bitch.

Yep! She is gone… and get this – $21 Million severance.

We have all decided to apply for her job. We figure that if we all suck, atleast we will be set for life!

Oh… and when I first started in the company, she came to talk to us, too. I thought it was cool that there was a powerful woman out there, but she seemed to be a little too full of herself.
