I’m pre-late, I’m pre-late, for a very important date

by statia on December 30, 2004

I got an email from my library. For a PRE-overdue library notice.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that a little….. redundant?

“Your library book is late, but not until Tuesday.”

Wouldn’t it have been easier for them to just email me with a reminder saying they’re due on Tuesday? WTF?

okay that’s way odd. i usually get a notice when i’m like $5 in debt to the library, and considering its like 15 cents a day…i’m considerably late. happy new year’s eve’s eve:)

Yeah, I usually don’t get the whole “pre” prefix. That, or it’s used wrong. Consider “pre-cooked”. How can it be cooked, *before* it’s cooked? Don’t they mean “cooked”?

hurray for redundancy. not really.

I just received one of these courtesy reminders in my inbox. I immediately thought of you and how weird. You would think it would be more beneficial NOT to tell us and get money. Oh well.

apparently, they have no faith in you or your punctuality.
