Not even the courtesy of a reach around

So, by now, if you’ve been reading other blogs, you’ll know that my current host bloghosts has decided to close shop. No email, just an announcement on their site. Which, ok, I can understand you’re probably inundated right now with the shit hitting the fan and everything. The meester emailed Jace three times with trying to get his domain transferred into his name, with no response. Personally, I find the way the whole thing was handled to be tactless. Either way, I have to pack up and move shop again for the second time this year. Between me, and the meester, we have about 5 or 6 domains. One of which isn’t live, and two domains which we may or may not put back up. I also host this lunatic, too. With the holidays coming up, it’s one thing that I’d rather get out of the way now. We’ve decided to go with Liquid Web Who’s gotten great reviews from Heather over at Dooce. They’ve been really quick to answer our questions and also have shell access, which is important to my meester and also to my very favorite Schnieder. Who, yet again, has been suckered asked if she could help me out. I love that girl.

Anyway, long story longer, things may get wonky here in the near future while we get shit moved over. Hopefully for the last time.

What, does bloghosts own the domain? Why can’t you just get the domain transferred to the new host’s dns servers?

That definitely sucks. I mean, not like their going to win friends at this point, but still….

Hmmm….LiquidWeb, huh? Do they allow personal websites as well as blogs? I’m gonna have to check that out.
