I’m going to burn someone’s chesnuts in a minute

by statia on November 22, 2004

I know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Christmas being shoved down their throat before Thanksgiving. Even though I’m actually looking forward to Christmas for the first time in years, I’m still getting rather annoyed at the fact that they’re starting Christmas before Thanksgiving.

I refuse to listen, look or breathe anything Christmas related until after Thanksgiving. REFUSE!! I need to mentally prepare for the “season” and let my mind get into the Christmas fung shui at the appropriate time. I love Christmas and the whole spirit of the season, the cheer, etc. But I can’t enjoy it when we’ve not even had Halloween yet. One holiday at a time please.

If you even try to get near me with any sort of Christmas holiday cheer before Friday, I will jam it right up your ass.

Spare a thought for those of us in countries where we don’t celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Christmas starts in SEPTEMBER here in Australia…
