I’m feeling a little woozy

by statia on November 1, 2004

Since moving to the left coast, finding a nail place that was clean and good, has been a never ending quest. The one place that I had settled for around here for the last few months, pissed me off to no end. She decided what was best for me, the customer, and went ahead and ripped all of my acrylics off of my nails, cut my nails down to the finger tip, and then reapplied the acrylic on my now short nails. Anyone who gets acrylic overlay knows how painful that can be. That was the last straw after many straws. Last weekend, while visiting the mother in law to be and (step?)father in law to be, I figured since I had some spare time, I’d go and get a fill. Let’s not revisit the issues I had shall we? After going to 4 different places since I’ve moved here, I decided to attempt fills myself. I figured I’ve watched it being done for the last 10 or so years. I gotta say, I didn’t do too shabby of a job for my first attempt.

I did however, make the meester high as a kite on nail fumes this evening. He’s looking a little green right now.

I hope this doesn’t affect his judgement in the voting booth tomorrow. I heard him mumbling something about voting for the prohibition party at a taco stand earlier.

Been there done that! I feel your pain, a bad nail job is the worst! I love my acrylics, its the only thing I get done for *me* these days.

Doing it yourself isn’t so bad, my best friend used to do mine than the selfish *itch went & bought a bridal shop and has no more time to do my nails Ha Ha— it is all about me ;)

Mmmmm…tacos. Now THERE is a platform I could support!

What is a “fill” in this context?
