Fuck you, inclimate weather!!

by statia on November 27, 2004

12½ hours in the car. We’re back after the shittiest car ride in the entire history of car rides™. The weather gods didn’t want us to get home before work on Monday. Rain, snow, sleet, cows, you name it, we hit it. The snow in the mountains totally reaffirmed the fact that I really hate snow. After that, it rained the entire. way. home.

I got to meet the other side of the Meester’s family. By the other side, I mean the meester’s father, step-mother, and siblings. A bit overwhelming at first. I think the meester was totally bracing himself. A bunch of people bombarding a non morning person they don’t know, in the morning, when she’s not awake, is really putting your life into your own hands. Once I had a minute to have some coffee, and remember who everyone was, it was fine. I don’t think I’ve ever had that big of a holiday gathering, ever. It was a lot of fun, but I’m really glad to be home, in my own bed, in front of my lifeline computer, with coffee. Today, we’re off to get our very first christmas tree. Now it’s time to bend over and be prepared to take it for the holidays.

Come on Santa, I’m ready for your fat ass this year. *hip thrust*

Some of the more memorable lines of the weekend:

“Don’t make me come unglued!!” (you can only guess who was the button pusher in that conversation)
“So, you went home to“feed the dog” eh? Is that what you’re calling it these days?”
“I’m getting gray ball hair.”

You were in Oregon?? Near ME? And I had no clue? I must’ve missed a memo or something.

Glad you had a safe trip.

So, overall, a good trip? Would you want to do it again next year?
