Food for the poor

So, our dog. Who we like to think is the smartest dog in the entire world, has a bit of an ADD problem. We have a lagoon (this was taken during the repair, it’s all filled up now, and is maybe about 2½ feet deep.), right outside of our front door. When we first decided to move here, we were a bit concerned that our dog, the smartest dog in the world, would always jump in. Because he loves to swim, and because of the ADD problem he has, he wouldn’t see anything else but water. It’s not exactly the cleanest water, as it comes from the slough right next to our development, which is an estuary for birds, who like to poop in there. A lot. Thus far, we’ve basically laid down the law and he’s pretty much learned that it’s off limits. That is until today. Do you want to know why? Bread. That’s right, bread. I was feeding the ducks the leftover stale bread that we had, while he was peeing. He was good for about five minutes until which point the ADD problem that our dog has (the smartest dog in the world), just went into overdrive, and got the best of him. Did he jump in after the flock of ducks? No. He jumped in after the fucking piece of bread that I was feeding the ducks.

We have the smartest dog in the world.

well, at least your dog didn’t get on top of the washing machine, jump through a glass window, shatter all the glass and send glass flying all over the floor in the garage and the yard….at 6:30 in the morning today….oh, and wake up all of our neighbors….yeah…and you think you’ve got problems….

she somehow managed not to kill herself with all that glass (nor cut herself) and i somehow (i still don’t know how) managed not to have a heart attack….i don’t know how that was possible

My first reaction was, “They have a pond. How cool is THAT?!” Then you described the water. Ugh. Oh well, at least you can feed the ducks.

How are you gonna blame him?
