Nothing’s gonna change my world

by statia on September 11, 2004

We finally got around to getting a new DVD player after mine shit the bed many moons ago. We also added to our DVD collection to start beefing it up. We bought this, which is a favorite of mine. It had a song that I hadn’t heard in forever and a day. I totally forgot about this song.

It’s a fitting song, for a fitting day, in so many aspects to me today.

Fiona Apple – Across the Universe
(right click and save as, that pooping in your shoe rule still applies)

What ever happened to Fiona Apple anyway?

9/11/01 – I can’t believe it’s been three years.

Fiona has an album ready to be released, but her record label doesn’t think it’s “marketable” and has no sure-fire hit single.

I’m sure it’ll be released soon, but right now it’s a tug-of-war match between Fiona and her label.

the couple of songs I’ve heard from the new album are very good, but not terribly radio friendly in terms of what’s played on the radio currently.
