There’s no place like home.

Provided you don’t get lost, and don’t get on the freeway accidentally. At least I’m not afraid of driving, or getting lost. That’s pretty much how I learned my way around Philadelphia. I’ve managed to be pissed off by quite a few drivers already, and I do believe that even Mikey admits that old Asian people can’t drive. Shit, does California hand out drivers licenses at the McDonald’s drive thru?

Settling in quite nicely. Though, it feels like I’m just on vacation right now, and it still hasn’t fully sunk in that I actually live here. I think it’s going to take a little time for that. I’m going to get spoiled by this weather really really quickly. I’m realizing what lung capacity is, and it’s a beautiful thing. I love looking out of my window and seeing water. Water!!! I also think it’ll be a little less of that vacation feeling, once my stuff gets here, and everything is done.

Despite the mild homesickness, and the weird “I’m on vacation feeling”, the Meester and I are stupid happy. It all feels like a dream come true. I’ll spare you the sappy talk. I need to walk the G-ster and then take a nap so that I can get caught up to pacific time.

Oh yeah, and we found the keys, buried deep in a bag that we had both searched through (and emptied) several times. Go figure.

not only do we hand out licenses to anyone, but we never take them away either! watch out especially for the ones with hats who can’t see over the steering wheel. that and the cab drivers — i swear, i think they’re imported from NY.

glad you’re enjoying yourself here in SF!
