The wheels on the trailer go round and round

by statia on July 15, 2004

Our truck finally came last night, and about 10 minutes before the alloted deadline, of 10pm. I didn’t even want to deal with the company, because I was so pissed off at that point. I didn’t need to have a coronary. I swear to god, my shit got it’s fucking passport, because I see London and Paris stickers all over it. Seriously, I’d love to contest it, but I’m sure we’re up shit’s creek. I was also really afraid of what my stuff might look like after being piled up like that for almost two weeks. When we had lost the keys, I think it was a blessing in disguise because when we went to go look for the keys on the truck, half of the boxes were already getting crushed by the weight, so we quickly reassessed the situation and packed it better. I thought for sure, that I’d hear my dishes clanking around in a million pieces as the truck pulled up. The Meester wouldn’t even let me look in the truck when they pulled the bulk head wall down. You know that can’t be a good sign. Needless to say, there’s still stuff that needs to come off the truck tonight, mostly all of our dishware, so the jury is still out on that. Cross your fingers and stay tuned. If you hear a scream from the bay area, duck and cover.

I’m sure it’s not going to be bad. We had a similar moving situation last summer, and although some of our stuff was ruined because the boxes got wet and sat around for THREE WEEKS, nothing was actually broken. So fingers are crossed and I’m sending vibes of pristine glassware your way.

*crosses fingers, and anything else that will cross*

Ugh, I hope it’s all ok.

Hoping none of your stuff is ruined.

On another note, I think it’s adorable how you’ve started writing “our”.
