Fly the friendly skies

by statia on June 16, 2004

My day started at fuck my ass o’clock this morning, when I had to get up to catch a 6am flight to San Francisco. Technically, I had to catch a 6 am flight to chicago, and then connect to San Francisco. I was supposed to have an interview at 12 PST time. After barely making it trough security, I got on the plane, we started to back out, and then the hell started. We were brought back to the terminal for a “security breach’ in Philadelphia. After sitting on the plane for about ten minutes, all planes were then told to deboard and go through security all over again. Needless to say, we missed our connection flight.

I ended up befriending a woman on the plane. She was a nice lady, but I didn’t really get a moments peace. But, she was cool. It’s amazing what you learn about someone after a five hour layover in an aiport. There’s a chance I may even see her on my way back, which is now looking like Thursday. Even if I don’t see her again, she’ll be one of those types of people that I crossed paths with and will wonder about from time to time.

I basically only got in about 3 hours ago, and I’m so tired, that I’m about to pass out. I really need some sleep. Interview has been pushed back until tomorrow. Right now, I’m going to go eat and then cuddle up next to m’love. .

So tired. Need sleepy.

Fuck my ass o’clock comes from Sarah. Can’t take credit for that one. But it’s a good one eh?

I’m so glad you’re there and you’re safe. I know you’ll kick ass on your interview! You make me so proud!

That company is pretty good to move your interview back a day. Sure, there was nothing you could do about it, but some companies would take the attitude of “it’s not our problem, either, so tough.”
