I walk around in the summertime saying “how about this heat.”

by statia on May 23, 2004

One thing about living in Pennsylvania is that we get 15 minutes of spring. Generally, we go right from winter to summer with no in between. There’s usually two scenarios: 1. Winter runs from about mid November to late May, and then somewhere in June starts summer. 2. Winter runs from mid November to about early to mid April, and then starts summer. We’ll have maybe a couple of days of nice mid 70′s with a nice breeze, and minimal humidity. Pennsylvania is all about humidity. All year around, it’s humid. Summer just makes it worse. You can’t walk outside without sweating. You stand out there, feeling like someone put a thin layer of paste all over your skin. The only benefit of it is that you wear less clothing.

Today it’s supposed to be 90 degrees, and it’s been humid all weekend.

Bring on the swamp ass, and bring on the cleave sweat.

I fucking hate summer.

Tell me about it…

Same crap in Dallas. I wanted to go to our Arboretum today, but I am not in the mood to feel gross all day!

That’s something I never miss about the East. In the desert it can be like 95 and as long as you find a bit of shade you’re set.

Of course trees were nice.

You just described Cleveland! A customer at work today was like, “So…do you think it’ll be 90 tomorrow, or do you think it’ll sleet again?” And dude, she was serious.

Your coworker is going to be thrilled that it’s full on summer. :)

Sounds like summers in Austin. 98 degrees at night with 95% humidity. I’m so glad I’m moving to Las Vegas.
