Aim this, asshole

by statia on February 13, 2004

I’ve recently upgraded to the latest version of aim. While, it has some cooler features and features that I’ve waited for, overall, there are so many bugs to it right now, that it sucks my pole. It went wonky when I was trying to add a person to my list and completely deleted my list. If I have my actual buddy list on top of my desk top, it’ll freak out while I’m typing to someone and open the offline buddy list at random. It does it a lot actually.

Seriously, everyone needs to use yahoo.

bummer. i haven’t had any problems, yet. *looks for wood to knock on*. maybe you should look into trillian or one of the others that does both.

I think you’ve had more problems with that thing than anyone I know… It’s been fine for me. heh

That’s why I haven’t been annoying you so much lately. It’s all Yahoo around here now.

Upgrade…smupgrade..
I stick with whatever version I have when I downloaded it.
Let’s see…what do I have here at work?..
ver 5.2.392

Sounds old to me…don’t much care.

Sucks my pole… I will have to use that one!

I use trillian. It’s nice since everyone I know uses something different.

I couldn’t agree more. Blocked people on my list show as being unblocked all the time. Their qa needs to work on this a bit more before they shove it out. Anyone have an earlier version I can get?

Trillian. It’s the only way to go. No ads, no fuss, more compact skins. muy bueno.

I cannot stand Yahoo. C.a.n.n.o.t. S.t.a.n.d. It crashes any computer I’m on with it and installs all sorts of other bollocks.

I totally agree. I use Yahoo’s DSL service as my main connection, and my AOL software doesn’t like it one bit. I’m kicked off all the time, and that goes for AOL IM as well. I swear, AOL is one giant virus.

*adds his vote for Trillian* Works wonders, cuts down on the active programs. :)

Trillian, all the way.

Lisa February 13, 2004 at 11:25 pm

Another vote for Trillian.

I’ve been using it for almost 5 years now and have never had any problems.

And the best part… no BS ads or popups like other IM proggies (AOL and Yahoo).

hey watch out for viruses on AIM…if somebody sends you a link, ASK IF IT IS A VIRUS FIRST! it has saved my ass twice now.
