There’s no place like home

by statia on January 23, 2004

Sure it’s -1° outside, but I’m so glad to finally be home. I’m so tired and fried. Home is the perfect remedy for that.

I was starting to get used to flying. I was even sleeping on the plane today when we hit some really nasty turbulence. Any slight look of fear on the flight attendants faces is enough to make me white knuckle the arm rests. I’m sorry, but I’m still a firm believer that hovering 30k+ feet in the air in a giant steel tube is just completely unnatural. That was a total valium buzzkill.

I’ve also come to the conclusion that I’m getting way too old for Cosmo magazine. I was actually really bored by it, and found it to be like a soap opera. You can always start watching your old favorite soap and know exactly what’s going on after about 10 minutes after you’ve started watching. Same with Cosmo. It’s all recycled crap.

Better Homes and Gardens here I come… with a side of centrum silver.

I had actually stopped reading Cosmo for a few years before it hit me that I no longer read Cosmo. It made me feel old for about a minute, but then I got distracted by “100 Ways to Organize Your Pantry” and all was right in my world again. ;)

Thanks again for coming to see us — hope the next visit will be a little more non-familial and, ummmm, “sane”! ;-) Welcome home!
