Rapunzel rapunzel, let down your long blonde hair

In between running around this weekend, I rented a couple of chick flicks. I have to put myself in the mood for movies like this. The whole fantasy world that they have going on in these types of movies isn’t really feel good. They make you feel empty and hollow inside. Come on, how many times does shit like this happen in real life? And for the record, I’m not bitter. If I want to escape from reality, I’m not going to choose a way that makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me.

Why did I rent these movies again?? I’m cranky.

What’s truly is sad, is the fact that I have watched BOTH of these movies. Sad fact for a guy. :(

You shoulda read my review: Followed the typical “boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy and girl fight, boy realizes he can’t live without girl, boy rushes off to right things and win back her heart only to realize she’s taken off and he has only moments to find her and live happily ever after” cookie-cutter formula.

It was for “How to Lose a Guy“, but really applies to both.

see, I understood the Two Weeks movie, but you didn’t mention the other one. They always make me feel like Josie Geller, but without that final kiss.

I agree completely. If I’m not very very happy with my current situation, those movies depress me because they are sooooo unrealistic. I think that’s why alot of relationships fail because we have this unobtainable idea of a relationship permanently etched in our heads. Damned Hollywood!
