Looks like someone’s got a case of the Mondays

by statia on September 29, 2003

If someone would so kindly care to throw an extra day in the weekend, I’d appreciate it. Not much to say. I’m not even sure if I’m going to keep the blog up. All the shit that’s gone on in the last few months has kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The blogiverse has changed and I’ve been busy, and getting out of the house. The move, or lack thereof has driven me to drink heavily and consume my every waking thought with stress and anxiety. I’m surprised I sleep to tell you the truth. But I think it’s sucking every ounce of energy that I have. I passed the hell out last night, and barely remember waking up to go to the bathroom. I passed out so early that when I woke up at 2am, it seemed like I had been asleep for 6 hours. I love that feeling.

Right now, blogging is the last thing on my mind. I’m afraid I’m going to end up living in a van down by the river [/Matt Foley].

Everything else is just dandy. Spending time with great friends that I adore. That’s what’s making it all worthwhile.

I know where you live! (For the next 20 days, at least.) And I know your phone number! So I’ll hunt you down! Grahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! (But I understand. Do what ya gotta, cooch.)

First-time commenter, long-time reader. As such, selfishly, I would have to say that I’d be disappointed to see your blog go. That said, I totally understand the frustration and the reasoning going on in your head.

It seems that 2003 is all about life sucking harder than a turbo-charged Hoover on overdrive. Still, I have known a few people that have managed to buck the trend and get something positive out of life in these weird times. It’s good to hear that you have a good support network – certainly makes all the difference in the world.

On an aside, I’m presently mulling over getting a domain and making the plunge into the blog world. Hopefully I’ll be joining you instead of just missing you!

Like Sassy said, ya gotta do what you gotta do. All the best – sending you some good vibes!

As long as you don’t stop using IM, I’ll be fine. The withdrawals won’t be too bad. ;) See you in a few weeks!

Statia,

You and your blog have been an inspiration to me. I look forward to the day that my blog looks as cool as yours. I doubt that I will ever be able to blog about the things you have.

That said, there is more to life than blogging. If your life takes you away from blogging, I wish you luck in whatever you do. But you will be missed.

Take a break — seriously. You’ve got enough to deal with. Ask me how much I miss things as they were… Go on. ;-)

You know I’m thinking of you! We SO need a night out together — stupid geography.
