Who moved my cheese

Something random that popped into my head: I don’t like it when I rearrange a room and the lighting is all off. You know what I mean. You get used to the way the room is lit by the placement of your lamps.

I don’t know why, but this is a bitch to get used to for me.

If changing the room in any way effects which side an table is relative to my chair – I’m screwed. We re-arranged a couple of times and I’ve dropped a glass onto the floor expecting the table to be there. :\

I love re-arranging furniture, but it definately throws the hubby off.

Its funny, test show changing work conditions like; lighting, location of pictures, water cooler, etc…causes productivity to increase. It is true. Even if the lights are dimmed, productivity increases.

But at home, you change something and its like WTF!!

[a witty truism should be inserted here..but I can't think of one :( ]

Jim, I bet it’s got something to do with the dualities of our work and home lives. At work, we’re stimulated by changes to our otherwise boring routines… and at home, we take comfort in knowing things will be as we left them.
