still snowing….

by statia on December 5, 2002

They finally let us go at 2. I would have actually left earlier, and probably should have, but I was doing a few things, and also talking to Jen-nay, who’s only seen snow once in her life. She needs to get her ass out to Philly in January. I made it home in record time considering the driving conditions. So I got all bundled up, grabbed g-man, and the camera and headed to the school yard. g-man was so excited. He loves the snow. Unfortunately, he’s got such dark eyes that he doesn’t photograph well in natural light. His favorite game was hide the baseball and then dig his face in to try to find it. He also likes to catch snowballs in his mouth. It was too funny and cute watching him have all that fun.

Ok, now that is why I don’t miss Philly in the winter!

I’ve never seen snow like that. Except down at the Snowy Mountains and it wasn’t very deep and it was mostly man made. I am sure I would rather deal with the 40degC temperature we get here than snow like that- How on earth do you drive in that?

Boo Hooooooooo! I *miss* snowstorms and real winters. Damned mild climated Seattle… *g*

the dog pictures are really cool. i especially like the one of him sitting looking to left. the composition is perfect. i’m sure it helps to have a good subject.

I miss the snow! We have ice storms but rarely ever a snow storm. Ice storms suck big time because you have the same bad side effects but none of the fun stuff like having people eat the yellow (lemon) flavored snow.
